Aims and scope

Academia Revista Latinoamericana de Administración (ARLA), the official journal of the Latin American Council of Schools of Management (CLADEA), publishes rigorous peer-reviewed research in the field of management and related disciplines with clear reference to Ibero and Latin-American management and businesses.

The journal welcomes strong research analysing the practice of management, including solid theoretical and empirical articles, practical regional teaching cases, and literature reviews. The coverage includes but is not limited to:

  • Finance, accounting, capital markets and Governance
  • Business and society, environment and Social Responsibility
  • Public Management
  • Strategy and management
  • Comparative management and culture
  • Marketing and internationalization
  • Organizational theory and behaviour
  • Family firms and entrepreneurship

All accepted articles in Spanish and Portuguese are translated and published in English and the original language of the submission.

Recent Special Issues:

Challenges and trends for management in Ibero-America (Volume 32, Issue 4) - Guest Editors: Manuel Alonso Dos Santos, Orlando Antonio Llanos-Contreras and Mauricio Jara-Bertin. This special issue contains 8 articles relating to topics on general management, sport management, knowledge management, marketing and finance, all focusing on Ibero-America.

Academia Revista Latinoamericana de Administración 30th Anniversary Special Issue. (Volume 31, Issue 1) - Guest Editors: Enrique Ogliastri, Carlos Pombo and Elvira Salgado. This anniversary issue contains 12 articles from 11 countries which present literature reviews, meta-analyses, and novel studies. It also contains testimonials about the history of the journal from Enrique Ogliastri (Editor/Director 1998-present), Elvira Salgado (Editor 2002-2013), and Carlos Pombo (Chief Editor 2013-present).
