Editorial Objective

The journal aims to publish succinct, innovative and thought-provoking articles that promote understanding and advancement in both the theory and practice of organizational development (OD) and learning.  It is an international and interdisciplinary journal directed towards practitioners and academics in private, public and non-profit sectors around the world. All articles and reviews are presented in an easy-to-digest format for leaders, managers and researchers to gain quick but deep insight into the main organizational development and learning issues affecting business today.

Editorial Criteria

Papers should be of high quality and contribute not just to the thinking but also to the practical application of OD and learning and development (L&D) in organizations. The journal operates both a blind-peer review system for our academic contributors and an editorial review system for practitioner contributors. All papers submitted must be original contributions not under consideration for any other publication.

Organizations are dealing with unpredictable economic, technological and societal shifts that require remarkable levels of flexibility and innovation.  Development & Learning in Organizations responds to the increasing recognition that learning – at an individual, group and organizational level - is a key, if not the key, business imperative to enable organizations to survive and thrive in this complex environment.
