Striking new ground 

The Review of Behavioral Finance (RBF) has recently struck new ground with its acceptance into Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. 

The journal’s growth and quick responsiveness from 2016-present day

Did you know that in the last 2 years the amount of quality papers published has increased  from 10 papers to 22 papers per volume, a growth of 120 % .  The editorial team moves quickly to process submissions and endeavours to give initial feedback to authors within a very quick turnaround time of 55 days following submission of their papers. Once accepted, individual articles are typeset, proofed and published online as the Version of Record within an average of 32 days, so that articles can be downloaded and cited earlier. 

Aims and Scope

Review of Behavioral Finance publishes high quality original peer-reviewed articles in the area of behavioural finance. The RBF focus is on Behavioural Finance but with a very broad lens looking at how the behavioural attributes of the decision makers influence the financial structure of a company, investors’ portfolios, and the functioning of financial markets. 

High quality empirical, experimental and/or theoretical research articles as well as well executed literature review articles are considered for publication in the journal.

The journal’s coverage includes but is not limited to:

  • Investment behavior
  • Financial decisions of listed or unlisted firms
  • Risk measurement and asset pricing
  • Trading strategies in financial/derivative markets
  • The behavior of financial markets
  • Behavioral corporate finance
  • Behavioral issues relating to market accounting
  • Mutual and hedge funds
  • Influence of financial regulation on behavior
  • Behavioral approaches to household financial decision-making

Review of Behavioral Finance  covers not only the theoretical and numerical side of financial decision making, but also the way the behavioral attributes of the decision makers influence the financial structure of a company, investors’ portfolio, and the functioning of financial markets. The journal welcomes contributions from the finance field as well as the psychology and decision sciences disciplines and is open to a wide spectrum of methodologies including those from finance, market accounting, economics, psychology, sociology and maths.
